Oving Parish Councillors were re-elected in 2021.
The Annual Parish Council meeting takes place in May annually starting at 7.00pm. The Annual Parish Meeting will be held immediately after. Everyone welcome. The council is non-political, and councillors' duty is to represent the views of parishioners and act in the best interests of the community. They seek to maintain Oving's unique character while seeking to improve facilities and the environment. Councillors each have individual areas of responsibility, as shown under their contact details. The Council meets bi-monthly usually on the second Tuesday of the month at 7.15pm in the Village Hall. Agendas are published here and on the PC noticeboard outside the Reading Room. Agendas and minutes can be downloaded from the PC Minutes & Agendas page of this website. The Annual Parish Meeting, at which all parishioners are very welcome, allows us to hear concerns and ideas from the community. The Annual meeting of the Parish Council also takes place in May at which the Chairman and Vice Chairman are elected by their Councillor colleagues. There is a public session at the beginning of each council meeting which we encourage members of the public to attend. You can speak on any issue relevant to Oving. Members of the public can also contribute to discussion during the meetings to ensure views are heard. If you have any questions, but prefer not to speak in public, the Clerk will be happy to assist. Just contact us via email or phone on 01296 336575. We look forward to seeing you soon, either at a council meeting or village event.
